Safety in the Workplace: Infection Prevention

December 2 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Infectious diseases have always been a concern for the health care industry and certain businesses that deal specifically with specimens and certain biological agents. COVID-19 has brought infectious diseases into the spotlight and has put pressure on all businesses to adapt. As we navigate out of the current pandemic and into the next stages, the importance of maintaining a safe workplace from infectious diseases and reducing potential liability in the event of an outbreak is paramount for all businesses, regardless of the industry or size.

Doug Sooley, Owner of Sooley’s Safety Services will review the potential liability concerns for businesses including the importance of safety programs that include infectious disease controls.

Debbie Duclos, Owner of Shaping Minds in Healthcare Inc. will draw on her clinical expertise to share how infectious diseases spread and the importance of interrupting the cycle of transmission of biological agents.

Participants will learn about the benefits of having a tailored Infection Control and Prevention Program for their workplace including training and refreshing knowledge of all staff for their workplace.
