TechConnect Halton: Igniting Collaboration in Canada’s Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster.

The Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster (AMS) is one of five initiatives chosen by the federal government as part of the Innovation Superclusters in Canada initiative. AMS received $250M, with an additional $800M in private sector commitments.

In early 2019, NGen Canada will start seeking partners and projects to be funded.

The goal of the Milton, Oakville, Burlington and Halton Hills Chambers, in partnership with HalTech and Silicon Halton, is to make sure Halton companies know how to leverage opportunities in the Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster. The TechConnect Halton event will help identify how local businesses can get involved.

Attendance is by invitation only and is limited to approximately 150 people.

8:30am – 9:30am Keynote – Pierre Cleroux, BDC, VP, Research and Chief Economist
9:30am – 9:50am Open Mic Pitch Session One – 40 participants @ 30 seconds each (one speaker per organization).
9:50am – 10:30am TechConnect Opportunities – Fireside Chat with strategic AMS businesses on their proposed supercluster projects and partnership opportunities for Halton companies. What problems are they trying to solve?
10:30am – 10:50am

 

Open Mic Pitch Session Two – 40 participants @ 30 seconds each (one speaker per organization).
10:50am – 11:30am NGen Canada – Jay Myers on RFP process next steps. How can Halton companies be involved? (Q&A with delegates)
11:30am – 11:50am Open Mic Pitch Session Three – 40 participants @ 30 seconds each (one speaker per organization).
12:00pm – 1:00pm Networking Lunch – buffet lunch so guests can make connections.
