It is a pleasure for me to serve as the 2023 Chair of the Milton Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.

Since 1888, the Milton Chamber of Commerce has been the voice of business, representing the civic, commercial, and industrial concerns of over 700 members that employ in excess of 30,000 people.

We advocate for business with government leaders at municipal, provincial, and federal levels regarding proposed and existing laws and regulations. The overall goal is to make sure Milton businesses thrive and to encourage new businesses to come to Milton, or even start here.

Across Canada, there are 450 chambers of commerce and boards of trade, representing 200,000 businesses of all sizes in all sectors of the economy and in all regions. In fact, there is a Chamber in every electoral riding across our country. No other business association has our grassroots perspective and influence.

The Milton Chamber is also proud to offer many other benefits to our members, ranging from opportunities to meet and do business with one another to affinity programs to help businesses save money on gasoline, office supplies, and Visa/ MasterCard merchant fees. Members are also eligible to participate in the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan, which has been protecting Canadian firms for over 40 years. More than 30,000 small to midsize businesses choose the Chambers Plan to protect their employees with comprehensive group benefits, including Health and Dental insurance, making it Canada’s #1 employee benefits plan for small businesses.

If you are in business but are not yet a Chamber member, I encourage you to join us.
