About

The Milton Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization representing over 700 member businesses and individuals.

The Member Support Coordinator will be responsible for serving the needs of prospective, new, and existing members of the Milton Chamber of Commerce. The role rests at the intersect of sales and customer service.

Duties

  • Identify market segments and prospects who could benefit from chamber membership
  • Communicate value of chamber offerings
  • Provide customer service support for new and existing members
  • Identify prospects’ needs and suggest appropriate offerings and solutions
  • Negotiate custom sales and advertising packages
  • Investigate and resolve member issues
  • Utilize CRM, LinkedIn, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities
  • Maintain CRM to track progress and ensure up to date information
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects
  • Support chamber events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills in a professional setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust
  • Strong independent worker who can stay motivated
  • Excellent follow up skills
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills (can handle multiple priorities, problem solve, and meet targets)
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of product and value-added offerings
  • Experience utilizing and maintaining databases and/or a CRM considered an asset
  • Understands the role and functioning of a chamber of commerce
  • Previous experience working at a chamber of commerce considered an asset
