Six-month management services agreement will provide leadership continuity for the Milton Chamber of Commerce during current CEO’s parental leave.
MILTON AND HALTON HILLS, ON – October 21, 2026 – The Boards of Directors of the Milton Chamber of Commerce and the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce a six-month management services agreement that will see the two organizations work collaboratively to provide executive leadership and organizational continuity for the Milton Chamber of Commerce.
Under the agreement, Melanie Frazer, President & CEO of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce, will also serve as Interim President & CEO of the Milton Chamber of Commerce, providing fractional executive leadership support for the remainder of Bianca Caramento’s parental leave, while continuing in her existing role with the Halton Hills Chamber.
This innovative arrangement brings together two neighboring Chambers with strong relationships, shared priorities and a common commitment to supporting local businesses and economic growth.
During the six-month term, Frazer will work closely with the Milton Chamber’s Board of Directors, staff, members and community stakeholders to provide leadership continuity, support organizational operations and advance the Chamber’s ongoing priorities.
“We are very pleased to welcome Melanie to the Milton Chamber team and are grateful to the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce for their willingness to work with us on this arrangement,” said Tanya Vakil Fernandes, Chair of the Milton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “This partnership provides experienced leadership and stability during an extended parental leave, allowing our staff and Board to remain focused on serving our members and supporting Milton’s business community. It’s a creative solution that reflects the strength of collaboration within the Chamber network.”
For the Halton Hills Chamber, the agreement represents an opportunity to support a neighboring organization while demonstrating how Chambers can work together to strengthen their collective impact.
“Our two Chambers represent distinct communities, but we share many of the same priorities, challenges and opportunities,” said Peter Sproule, Chair of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “Our Board is pleased to support this agreement and recognizes the value of Chambers working together in new ways. We’re confident this arrangement will benefit both organizations while ensuring the Halton Hills Chamber continues to deliver the leadership and service our members expect.”
Frazer brings extensive experience in Chamber leadership, business advocacy, organizational management and community engagement to the interim role.
“I’m genuinely excited about the opportunity to work with the Milton Chamber’s Board, staff and business community,” said Melanie Frazer, President & CEO of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce and Interim President & CEO of the Milton Chamber of Commerce. “Milton has an engaged and dynamic business community, and I’m looking forward to getting to know its members, building relationships and supporting the great work already underway. I also want to acknowledge and thank Todd Letts for his steady leadership and commitment to the Milton Chamber over the past six months. His work has provided a strong foundation, and I’m grateful for his support as we move forward.”
Todd Letts, who has provided interim executive leadership to the Milton Chamber over the past seven months, welcomed the agreement.
“This is a thoughtful and innovative approach that puts the needs of the Chamber, its staff and its members first,” said Todd Letts, Interim President & CEO. “Melanie understands the Chamber network, the importance of strong relationships and the realities of leading a member-based organization. I’m confident she will provide the continuity and support needed during this period, and that the Milton Chamber is in very capable hands.”
Both Chambers will continue to operate as independent organizations, with their own Boards of Directors, memberships, programs and community priorities.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to responsible organizational leadership, collaboration and ensuring that local businesses continue to have strong representation and support.
