U.S. Tariff Remission
Canada’s tariff remission framework allows Canadian companies to request relief from tariffs on certain U.S. goods when they cannot be sourced domestically or from non-U.S. suppliers, or in other exceptional circumstances. Eligible Canadian companies can apply by emailing remissions-remises@fin.gc.ca with “U.S. Remission” in the subject line. Learn more.
Regional Tariff Response Initiative
The Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI) provides funding to help Southern Ontario businesses impacted by tariffs and trade disruptions strengthen their competitiveness, diversify markets, improve productivity and strengthen supply chains.
Eligible businesses may receive $125,000 to $10 million in repayable funding or up to $1 million in non-repayable funding. Applications are now open. Businesses are encouraged to review eligibility requirements and apply through FedDev Ontario. Learn more.
